Trina Cooper Brown, Founder & CEO of Brown Accounting & Associates LLC, brings a sophisticated understanding of nonprofit accounting practices and federal grant reporting requirements. A Certified Grant Management Specialist with experience managing NIH, CDBG, CDC, HHS, NSF, and Title III Grants. Currently ensuring compliance with new and emerging Covid-19 supplemental funding requirements with the Department of Education. Trina is a proud member of the National Grants Management Association & Association of Government Accountants. Trina has successfully launched Charter schools, implementing all accounting policies and procedures. She effectively turned around accounting departments of declining companies, ensuring a successful audit and enabling them to apply for grant funding. Trina has committed her professional and personal life to public service. Prior to launching Brown Accounting & Associates, Trina served as the Finance Director & Controller for Project Evident.  Trina also worked at Morehouse School of Medicine, managing multi-million-dollar grant portfolios. Trina has over 25 years of progressive Accounting and Grant Management experience, 20 years of which have been supporting Educational Institutions and Youth Organizations. An Accounting graduate of Morris Brown College, Trina has also earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from William Howard Taft University and a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University.
